Pig Feast Attraction : With Dani Tribe in Wirap Silimo Village

Pig Feast Ceremoney is a mini cultural show held by a group of Dani tribe in Baliem Valley at Obia village. The aim of this ceremoney is perseverance purpose for Dani culture but also offered for tourist attraction. Only a view of Dani tribe still practice and perseve their culture. Attending Pig Feast Ceremoney is a rare big chance to see, learn and experience the real living life of Dani tribe.

The expected Attractions :

Pig Exsecution, Stones fired process, Cooking process, Serving process, Singing & Dancing, Mock Battle, Learn how to make string bags, How to make arrow and bow, Learn how to local traditional house built and there are many more you can experience and share with Dani tribe in this show.

Trek Itinerary :

DAY 01 - Arrival

Jayapura - Wamena

Upon Arrival in Sentani airport (Jayapura), directly take the connecting flight to Baliem Valley-Wamena. Upon arrival in Wamena you will be met by your guide  or I myself  Raymond and proceed to your booked hotel, check in, go out for lunch and visit local market, while everything is being prepared by our tour team for the next tour to PIG FEAST CEREMONEY at Obia village. Dinner will be at the local resto.

DAY 02 - Attraction

Wamena - Obia Village

After breakfast, we will drive out heading to the Northern part of Baliem Vallay at Obia Village. Before & upon arrival, you will be welcomed by locals of Dani tribe with some attractions and enter the village and we will start with the main event of Pig Feast Ceremoney.

There are some activities as described for the expected activities to do with the tribe. Once you are here, you are free and you will have a chance to see, join, learn and share with locals the real culture of Dani tribe that preserved for generations.  And you are free to documenting, do photography, filming during the shows.

After the pig feast, we will continue to Jiwika village to see the Mummy and continue to the historical cave of Kotilola in Usilimo District. And after that in the afternoon, we will retrun to the city of Wamena. Upon arrival in Wamena, check in at the hotel, clean up your body, relaxing with a cup of coffeee/tea and wait for dinner time. Dinner will be at the local resto.

DAY 03 - Aiport Transfer

Wamena - Jayapura

After morning breakfast, take a short transfer to airport, check in & catch your flight for Jayapura.

Additional Information

For payment we accept only IDR. Make sure you have exchanged your money before you arrive. We ask for a deposit of 10% of the tour price at the time of booking. The rest of the payment can paid when we meet or if you prefer to transfer it via online then make sure you proceed it 2-3 days before you arrive.  For foreigners need a travel permit for Papua and we will take care of this permit before your arrival.
